This is me, Milla.

A Digital Data Strategist.

I am by no means an expert of any sorts, nor do I have 10 years of specialized work experience. But what I do have is enthusiasm, balls and a hell of a work ethic. This page is my way of telling who I am and why You would want to work with me. What I am looking for is an opportunity to work with cool and interesting people doing something that challenges me daily. Always down for trying things that scare me.

Currently I work at Sanoma, doing Conversion Rate Optimization.
A/B testing, online personalization and eCommerce are things I am passionate about.

I create A/B tests from scratch, using HTML, CSS and jQuery to bring hypotheses alive. I prioritize, document and report all experiments.

Creating online personalizations is so much fun. Finding target audiences, planning the messages and analyzing their performance is a constant learning process.

Some things I've done

Talk The Talk

I did a thing.

In mid November of 2019 I outdid myself. I challenged myself in a way I never have before. I spoke in front of an live audience of nearly 800 people at Savoy theatre while being livestreamed to the biggest newspaper in Finland, Helsingin Sanomat.

The reason why I was able to do this was an intensive two month training I took part in – Talk The Talk. During this time we chosen 10 talents learned about improvising, storytelling and failing. It has been an extremely interesting autumn, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Coming up with a topic was not difficult and many can easily relate to it, but it’s a topic that can easily be misunderstood. The Brick

Our task was to figure out how the future for co-created living looks like. We had three days and a group of five to figure it out and to create a video presenting it all.

Record Union

Creating SEM campaigns for Record Union to spread brand awareness. Based on available data, the decision was taken to focus on equalizing the music industry and to inspire women to publish their creations. This was done through analytics, 1-on-1 interviews with female artists and a lot of good brainstorming.

Facebook Business Manager, Google Analytics, Nudge tactics.. All that juicy stuff was used to create this amazing campaign! Liberate the music!

My major was Customer relationship management and communication. Through August 2012 to June 2013 I spent in Valencia, Spain, for ERASMUS exchange. I studied in Spanish from day one, having studied only the basics before. The most memorable thing we did in Haaga-Helia was creating a business plan with five other students and weekly sessions of Problem Based Learning.

Let’s face it, Stockmann is still the place you go to when in need of excellent customer service and honest opinions. Besides providing just that, I also did campaign implementation and after-sales marketing. To brag a little, I was promoted to product coach and a personal shopper during my time at Stockmann. Quite proud of that actually.

It all started when I wrote my thesis for the boys. It was about positioning in the gaming industry. It was not the best text I ever wrote, but it was super interesting to write. Lucky for me, the boys decided to hire me after completing my thesis. My tasks included creating marketing materials, conference preparations and customer acquisition. Working in a startup taught me A LOT about myself and business in general. Back to reality kinda thing. Ever so grateful for the opportunity.
